Title:	Change in Committee membership:  Corporate Parenting Panel
Purpose:	To consider proposed changes to the membership of the Corporate Parenting Panel

RECOMMENDATION:

The Governance Committee is recommended to recommend to County Council to:

1) Appoint Councillor di Cara to the Corporate Parenting Panel.

1. Corporate Parenting Panel

2.1       In May 2023 Councillor Adeniji was appointed to the Corporate Parenting Panel. Councillor Adeniji has indicated that he wishes to stand down from the Panel and the Conservative Group has indicated that they wish Cllr Di Cara to take his place.

2.2       The Corporate Parenting Panel monitors and ensures the well-being of children who are looked after by the Council (in children’s homes or as fostered children).

2.         Recommendations

2.1       The Committee is asked to agree to recommend the appointment of Councillor di Cara to the seat vacated by Cllr Adeniji on the Corporate Parenting Panel.
